What have been the
de昀椀ning decisions or
moments that shaped
your career?
I started out in corporate real estate on the transactional side, working
with large 昀椀nancial institutions like HSBC, Barclays and National
Australia Bank. That gave me the opportunity to understand leases,
execution and commercial negotiation, which has been foundational to
my career.
The pivotal moment came when I had the opportunity to go on
secondment into Microsoft, supporting their cloud site acquisition
team. I remember feeling quite unnerved at the time because it was a
completely new asset class and I didn’t have direct experience in data
centres. But I knew I understood the fundamentals of real estate and
execution and that’s what they needed. It became a turning point by
introducing me to an industry I genuinely wanted to stay in.
