Kao Data benchmarks its sustainability performance against
16 primary metrics to focus upon through to 2030. These
are shown in the table below which shows where we are
‘Ahead, On-target or Lagging’ relative to our internal targets,
CNDCP targets, and the wider industry as measured through
our GRESB infrastructure asset level score.

To better manage our ESG progress, our integrated
management system (IMS) is supported by our facilities
management partner CBRE. This partnership has
enabled Kao Data to achieve EcoVadis Silver Medal
Status in 2025-26.

The section tables in the appendix of this report further
show our granular progress year-on-year against both our
primary and secondary metrics. Kao Data plans to re昀椀ne
our ESG reporting in 2026-27, by working with the CDP
(formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), and our Facilities
Management partner CBRE, so we can further accelerate
sustainability performance, and better measure and manage
our sustainability progress.

Site-level PUEs varied in 2025-26 due to sites like KLON-02 and KLON06 undergoing 昀椀t-out and occupancy. Overall Site PUE is decreased with
ef昀椀ciencies, there are legacy facilities as part of this 昀椀gure, so likes of Lifecycle
Programmes are reviewed towards maintaining uptime, ef昀椀ciency but also
looking at meeting CNDCP targets.

Based on REGO, this provides Scope 2 for Kao load as zero. The reduction is
in part due to a reduction YoY in F-GAS reporting metrics.

Further granularity on data has been included in this report. Due to the build out
of facilities we report a negative trend YoY due to an increase in utilisation. As
we have not yet reached capacity (this has Scope 2 without REGO applied)1.

Based on GHG Protocol for Scope 1 and Scope 2, here Scope 2 is without
REGO applied, to show comparison and carbon footprint impact reduction
when utilised.

Much of the emissions increase YoY is linked to estate growth, customer occupancy and expansion activities. These changes are therefore
associated with growth rather than deterioration in our environmental performance/management.
