Kao Data maintains the highest levels of reliability, security
and compliance in everything we do, aligned with our
operational excellence values. Our facilities, operating
procedures and policies are guided and certi昀椀ed by the
International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) standards
and their equivalents in the UK, delivered through our
Integrated Management System (IMS). Kao Data has achieved
an impressive list of ISO certi昀椀cations, tailored to meet the
speci昀椀c needs of a high-performance data centre business.
In 2025-26 our ISO accreditations now go beyond
operations, to include design, build, project, delivery
and implementation, enabling our ISO coverage to span
‘cradle-to-grave’ for our business activities. In addition to
our ISO standards, Kao Data operates in alignment with the
standards set by the European Data Centre Association and
aligns with technical guidelines provided by industry bodies
such as ASHRAE, Open Compute and the Uptime Institute.

We work with numerous industry bodies to inform our
governance approach, most notably techUK. Through
our techUK collaborations we are able to assess industry
risks and opportunities. The techUK platform cuts
across sectors to gain customer relevant insights, curate
shared responses to consultations and policy drafts, to
ultimately build a more collective industry voice, and a
more coordinated lobbying power.
