Managing climate risks
& opportunities
Taking into account current
government climate related
commitments, anthropogenic
global warming is still projected to
reach 3.2°C by 2100. This warming
poses multifaceted challenges
that governments, businesses,
lenders and investors must better
understand in order to mitigate
climate-related risks and 昀椀nd ways

Kao Data ESG Report 2025-26
Our approach to climate change
As part of our ISO certi昀椀cations and through our
Climate Change Agreements, Kao Data identi昀椀es
climate change as being a material issue. With an
ever-increasing customer demand for data centre
services driven by AI and HPC innovation, there
is a corresponding need for data centre providers
to offer sustainable, climate resilient solutions.
As such, Kao Data recognises climate change as
both a material risk and a strategic opportunity.
Climate change also poses tangible risks to Kao
Data’s ‘critical infrastructure’ assets. Proactively
recognising and addressing these risks (where
required) not only safeguards assets but may
also reveal opportunities, turning foresight into
strategic advantage.
