WUE improvements covers all aspects of site level usage, not just cooling systems, but new
infrastructure. As we roll out facility expansion we are harnessing new cooling methods that reduce
water use. See Water section of this report.
18,832,610.00
Water consumption has increased as utilisation of sites increased due to additional sites coming
on stream. These sites are running at low occupancy rates and/or being primed, which negatively
effects WUE in the short term until fully occupied). Kao Data is continually looking at other ways
of reducing water consumption, and is working with the likes of the EA and techUK to explore
alternative options to reduce use of potable water.
